My formula for a successful life is this

Success = Good Human + Faith + Love + Positive attitude – Jealousy – Hypocriticism

I truly believe that being successful is not a big deal but not changing as a person even when you have become successful thats a real success.

EDIT: Wish I had learned this when I was still in school!

I believe there is no formula.
    It’s all spontaneous.

    1) To thine own self be true
    2) Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
    3) Never pay for anything with credit that you can afford in cash.
    4) Never pay for anything in cash that you can make at home for free.
    5) Always change your underwear and the oil in your car regularly.
    6) Never lie when the truth will serve you better.
    7) Remember it is often easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
    8) Know that if being an employee led to success, your boss would be an employee instead.
    9) Always ask yourself if you would rather be right or happy, because you are unlikely to be both.
    10) Remember women do ALL the picking, your only job is to say yes or no.
    11) An education will only help you succeed if you have already learned how to get to work on time.
    12) Having a degree often only makes it less likely that people will want to deal with you.
    13) Making someone else feel smart is a much better idea than boasting about your own intellect.
    14) Remember the dumber people think you are, the less they will expect from you.
    15) Carry your intellect around as if it was a pistol, use it only in self defense and keep it hidden from others, and you should get along just fine.

This is only part of the formula but it is a good start anyways.
    Good Luck.

Regret for not taking a chance is a horrible thing, minimize those instances where you take the safe road.

Write down what you want in life.

I wrote my list at age 13. Now at 57, 80% of my list is done. The last 20% will be the best.

Example: one thing I wrote down is that I would marry a really hot model. I did, at age 18. Still married to the same smoking hot woman. "Shake and bake"

Try to always do your best and then hope to be at the right place at the right time with the right stuff. Either that or marry the boss’ daughter or son as the case maybe..

Check the stats. You’ll find I’m right!
